We’re celebrating at Tenderstem® broccoli HQ as our delectable brassica has been named a winner at this year’s Healthy Food Guide Best of Health Awards 2019! Tenderstem® broccoli was triumphant in the Speedy Suppers category and too right!
When it comes to healthy convenience, Tenderstem® broccoli is a great choice. Steam it, boil it, stir fry it, griddle it, or even eat it raw, Tenderstem® broccoli can be ready in a matter of minutes for whatever supper you had in mind.
Now in its sixth year, the Best of Health Awards selects winning products from across the food and drink sector, chosen for their nutritional credentials as well as their flavour and texture. The judges of the awards told us that they recognised Tenderstem® broccoli as the worthy winner of the Speedy Suppers category as it can be cooked quickly, enjoyed in multiple ways due to its versatility and can be eaten from stem to floret, meaning that there’s minimal wastage.
We agree with the judges – the versatility of our delicious and healthy brassica means it can be added to lots of different types of cuisines very easily. To reflect this, we’ve worked with award-winning cookery writer Meera Sodha and single origin spice experts, Rooted Spices, to create the Brassica Blend, the perfect accompaniment to season our versatile veggie. Meera Sodha has also developed a new, fresh dish inspired by the Brassica Blend’s Rajasthani flavours, an Indian-spiced salad with Tenderstem® broccoli, paneer and beetroot.
