Making a curry from scratch might seem daunting, but it really doesn’t have to be. We have built up a really nice selection of curry recipes on our website, all of which can be cooked quite simply with a little bit of preparation.

What Curries can You Add Tenderstem® Broccoli to?

You can add broccoli to pretty much any curry you can think of. Whether that's part of the main dish or as a side. One of the best things about Tenderstem® broccoli is that it’s so versatile. It’s a vegetable that can stand up against big, powerful flavours such as a spicy curry.

Tenderstem® broccoli is perfect for adding to all kinds of curries, bringing a little crunch, a burst of bright green colour and a healthy portion of vegetables.

You can add Tenderstem® broccoli to almost any curry you are making. Whether that’s one of our own curry recipes that you can find on our website, or even a recipe of your own. You might be making a classic Indian recipe such as a Rogan Josh, or trying a nice Thai green curry from scratch. Either way, you absolutely can add Tenderstem® broccoli to your dish.

When to Add Tenderstem® Broccoli to Your Curry?

Depending on the curry that you’re making, it’s best to add Tenderstem® towards the end of the cooking process. This way, you make sure that the Tenderstem® retains a crunchy bite that cuts through the spice.

Alternatively, you can cut the stems down into small pieces and add them to your sauce earlier, leaving just the florets for adding at the end. That way you get smaller, softer pieces of the stem running through your curry.

Adding Frozen Tenderstem® Broccoli to Curries

It’s a great idea to have some frozen Tenderstem® tucked away in the freezer for adding to a curry you’re making. A super easy way to add a healthy portion of vegetables into your meal, and you won’t need to worry about having to nip out to pick up fresh Tenderstem®.

Why Use Tenderstem® Broccoli in curries?

When you’re making a curry, you’re going to end up with a really flavourful and often spicy sauce. You might serve it up with a naan bread, and almost certainly some rice. Tenderstem® is great, because it adds a crunchy bite to balance out texture and it can also hold up to the spiciest of curries, meaning it will cut through the spice with its own delicious, slightly nutty flavour.

By using Tenderstem® broccoli, you’ll also add a bright burst of green colour to your curry. This will ensure that your curry not only tastes great, but looks great too!
