A brilliant, fresh and fiery salad to serve with steak. If you’re afraid of heat, stay away. Or use less chilli. That would also work.

  1. Season the steak well with salt and pepper.

  2. Brush a griddle pan or frying pan with oil and heat. Add the steak and cook on each side for 2-3 minutes for medium rare or longer for a more well-cooked steak. Once cooked to your liking, transfer to a board and leave to rest for 5 minutes.

  3. Lightly blanch the Tenderstem broccoli in a pan of boiling water for 2 minutes, then remove with a slotted spoon and plunge into ice cold water. Drain and set aside.

  4. For the dressing, simply whisk all the ingredients together until the sugar has dissolved.

  5. Pop the Tenderstem® broccoli, tomatoes, cucumber and herbs into a large bowl, pour over the dressing and toss well

  6. Thinly slice the beef and serve with the salad.
