Sausage and Pesto Orecchiette with Tenderstem®

This is a really simple sausage and pasta dish that goes down well with all ages. You can adjust the amount or type of pesto used to suit and also choose your favourite sausages. The Tenderstem® broccoli adds some freshness and crunch.

  • Orecchiette pasta
  • Sausages
  • Pesto
  • Pine Nuts
  • Tenderstem® Broccoli
  • Oil for cooking
  1. Squeeze the meat out of 6 sausage of your favorite sausages and lightly fry, using oil if needed. At the same time, boil a pan of water and start cooking the Orecchiette pasta (or any other pasta). When the pasta is almost done, add a handful of Tenderstem® broccoli to the pasta water and boil for a minute or two. Add two tablespoons of pesto to the cooked sausage meat along with two spoons of pasta water. Drain the pasta and add to the sausage and pesto mix. Add a sprinkling of pine nuts and stir until everything is coated in pesto. Add some Parmesan cheese if you\'re feeling cheeky.
