Tenderstem® au Gratin

A simply baked Tenderstem® broccoli and cheese dish. Steamed Tenderstem® broccolli with a piquant cheese sauce.
- 1 pack Tenderstem® broccoli
- 4oz. Mature Chedder Cheese
- 2 Tbsps Olives (stoned and roughly chopped)
- Handful Flaked Almonds
- For the white sauce
- 1oz Plain Flour
- 1oz Butter
- 1 pint Milk
- 1/4 tsp Grated Nutmeg
Steam the Tenderstem® Broccoli.
Make the sauce by first melting the butter in a saucepan.
When melted add the flour, mixing well.
Add the milk slowly, beating all the time to produce a smooth glossy sauce.
Add the chopped Olives.
Grate the nutmeg into the sauce.
Spoon the sauce over the Tenderstem® broccoli when it's tender.
Grate the Nutmeg over the sauce.
Grate the cheese.
Bake in the oven at moderate heat (180 degree centigrade) for about 15 minutes.
